Despite being warned by Kaden not to trust him, Azimuth became convinced by his plans and granted the outsider full access to lombax technology to build them. Then one day, the lombaxes were approached by a mysterious inventor who claimed to have the solution, possessing ideas for technology far more advanced than their own.

The "inventor" shares his ideas with the lombaxes.Īfter the War's conclusion, Azimuth was unsure about the state of the galaxy, feeling that more could be done to protect it. At some point during his tenure, he was the architect behind the Court of Azimuth. Kaden was consequently grounded for a month, but Alister maintains the only other time he ever saw Kaden happier was at the birth of his son.Īs they grew older, Azimuth joined the Praetorian Guard and eventually became an elder councilman for the Center. Alister witnessed it himself but knew the Agorians would never admit a Lombax had won their tournament. Kaden used his own father's ID to gain entrance to the Gold tournament and became the first non-Agorian to win. On one such event when Kaden was 15 to 16, Alister stole his father's trillium harvester and used it to bring the two of them out to the Agorian Battleplex so Kaden could compete. Eventually, Rivet learns about KIT's former past when she shifts into her much larger and destructive form to protect Rivet from danger, causing Rivet to recoil in fear as she recognizes KIT as the Warbot who attacked her. Many years ago, Azimuth grew up alongside with Kaden and the two were close friends as children, having many adventures together in their youth. While listening to Rivet's tale, KIT realizes that she was the Warbot responsible for taking Rivet's arm, and she attempts to hide her past from Rivet to conserve their new friendship. While this seems like a fairly straightforward explanation from new character Rivet, there is an extra layer to the story that she does not realize concerning KIT. Once safe, Rivet was able to craft a metal arm to replace her missing appendage, which is the arm that she has throughout the course of the game. However, the Warbot was unsuccessful, taking Rivet's arm instead and allowing her to escape with her life. Through flashback, Rivet explains that she was attempting to break into Nefarious' facilities to try and put an end to his reign, but the Warbot caught Rivet in the act and tried to destroy her. KIT and Rivet eventually become a pair later on in the story, but the new partnership grows tense once Rivet explains how she lost her arm.ĭuring a conversation with KIT later in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Rivet reveals that she lost her arm during an encounter with one of Emperor Nefarious' Warbots. KIT warns Ratchet that she was built by Emperor Nefarious to be a Warbot in his army and could potentially lose control of her programming, but Ratchet reassures her that things will be okay and the two join forces.
